Audiobot = A rusted
nail in music's coffin ... Brains coming out of the ear,
the skull with the dagger through. Death, gore and dismemberment
you know, the whole type of go for it type of thing, ...
after all that's what Audiobot is all about.
Ultra Eczema = Boiling
puddle of multiple dimensions, reflected from the unsane
brain of Dennis Tyfus. A vicious brother that's one step
away from serving you a mutilated rat. Take cover ...

CANT (US)
Cant aka brainchild of Jessica Rylan. She plays analog
synthesizers, sometimes she uses rhythm boxes and distortion
pedals, and sings and dances. She tells stories too... Its
an intensely personal investigation of being alive in the
instant. The main focus of her work to date has been the
design and construction modular synthesizers which use analog
electronic circuits to create a diversity of sounds. Also
active in Secret Diary with Donna Parker, Perpetual Enemies
with Vanessa Brewster (Mr. Uterus), Vampire Cant with
Vampire Belt (Chris Corsano and Bill Nace) and Dirty Dynamite
Gang with Spencer Yeh (Burning Star Core) and John Olson
(Wolf Eyes).

MAURO ANTONIO PAWLOWSKI (B)
Half human. Half chameleon. Throughout the years Mauro Antonio
Pawlowski has built a fortress of alienating songs, that
suffocate the listener and feel like the entire building
can crumble down on you. Two seconds later hes already
whistling a ballad on the green side of the tracks... Howling
beans at the cross, and burning David Bowie, Queen and Elvis
Presley records for a black Europe..

FRED VAN HOVE (B)
Fred Van Hove was party responsible for Machine Gun,
a highly influential piece of improv from 68, blasted
with Brötzmann, Bennink, Parker, Kowald en Johansson.
Despite numerous problems he put the European improv scene
back in the spotlights with the annual Free Music Festival.
He rarely performs solo in Belgium so this is a unique oppurtunity
to get blown away by the mans fire music soul.

TAURPIS TULA (SCOT)
Taurpis Tula from Glasgow, Scotland is Heather Leigh - (Charalambides
and Scorces) on pedal steel / vocals and David Leigh - on
guitar, navigating rivers of steel string with their fists
and throats. Their all-improvised music works loops of spectral
sound into beautifully fucked tonal hymns. Having played
primarily as a duo since their formation in 2003 Taurpis
Tula now is a powerful trio with the addition of free-form
drummer Alex Neilson of Jandek / Directing Hand fame. Far
from creating a more controlled or arranged sound, Neilson
has freed the band even further from the constraints of
structure. Steel Rods Bruise Butterflies, is Taurpis Tula's
first CD-R as a trio and is out on Chocolat Monk...

ORPHAN FAIRYTALE + CASSIS CORNUTA (B)
Eva Van Deuren drags the listener into her downwards spiral
of melancholy, spontaneity, weirdness and childlike simplicity.
Unleashing an aura that simply glows in the dark. With upcoming
releases on Ultra Eczema, Not Not Fun and Open Mouth. Antwerps
most infamous cacti and hat (randomly designed with shattered
glass to keep the evil spirits away) collector Cassis Cornuta
aka Daniël Renders is fascinated by analog synth noise,
tape-loops and bizarre field recordings. Imagine Frieder
Butzmann eating peyote with Steven Stapleton inside a microwave...
This duo set can swing in all directions.

PUTREFIER (UK)
Mark Durgan has been melting his obsessions in glorious
noise grit since the 80s. Inspired by Bristols
darkest pubs, industrial tension, b/w lust from the Come/Broken
Flag era and social discomfort. Keeping a low-profile has
enabled Putrefier to work at his own pace and keeping to
his own vision. His recordings have turned up on labels
such as Broken Flag, Artware, MSBR, RRR and more.

BEN REYNOLDS / JOHN W. FAIL
UNCABINETED DUO (UK)
Ben Reynolds, another fascinating solo guitarist/improviser/noise/psychedelic
music composer based in the city of Glasgow. Reynolds work
is well-documented on labels such as Ikuisuss, Memoirs Of
An Aesthete, Time-Lag and 267 Lattajjaa while Fail has dabbled
in myriad projects including lied music, intro to pterodactyl
and land. ranging from screaming acoustics to dirgy fuzzfests,
the real document is that of experience, joy and camaraderie.

+ THE HARBINGER SOUND PLASTIC PUNK EXPLOSION (UK)
Broken out of a window in hell, The Harbinger Sound mechanics
twist your arm 360° and show you what real punks are
made of ... Bloody, sweaty classics from the glorious punk/hardcore
era before 84. Mix that with an endless tank of beer
and youre halfway there.

exhibition:
FACTOR 44
Factor 44 is an amalgamation of two exhibition spaces, Inexistent
(1987-92) and Quarantine (1992-95) operating
in Antwerp. In 1995 two derelict buildings situated in Borgerhout
were bought and (partially)renovated until 1996,- when the
first exhibition opened that year, only half of the renovations
were finished. The name Factor 44 was given
during the foundation-meeting of a loose grouping of artists
(as a gathering of Fifty-Fifty) on July 14th 1996
(le quatorze Juillet) After the initial inauguration, we
set about presenting various kinds of projects, classic
exhibitions (aprox 4 p/a) and our regular monthly Jour
Fixe (every last wednesday of the month except december...).
Factor 44 occasionally presents itself as a group in various
locations... depending on circumstances, interest and willingness,
Factor 44 could be anyone, anywhere..

LUDO MICH
Ludo Mich is a painter, sculptor, holographer, musician,
performance artist and fluxus associate best known for the
series of hysterical films he made in the sixties and seventies,
especially :Lysistrata(1975) , an adaption of Aristophanes
satirical poetic comedy into a strictly personal ludic burlesque.
All actors perform naked. This was due not simply to the
budget being too small to accommodate the appropriate costumes
and regalia; Ludo Mich also intended to use his particularity
to heighten the impact of Aristophanes anarchistic
ideas.
